Born in Mexico and raised in San Diego, I am bilingual in Spanish and English, which has served me well in my chosen professions. For 25 years I was a golf course superintendent, and then I moved to Medford this past July. However, I am not new to Oregon, having lived in Portland for 2 years prior to moving to Los Angeles for the last 10. I used drive up here about once every two months, to visit my children who live in Medford with my ex-wife. Changes in my professional life enabled me to say, “No more more driving, I am moving to Medford.”
So here I am, starting a new chapter in my life as well as a new photography business. Photography has always been a passion of mine, starting in the dark room of my high school photography class. 5 years ago I decided to make it a profession, and I have loved every minute of it.
I am a print artist, which means I specialize in portrait photography. Photographs are meant to be seen in a beautiful frame on your wall, not on a phone or computer screen. Growing up, my parents always had photographs of our family on the wall and I learned that it is essential for children to grow up with family portraits. Prominently-displayed family portraits help to build children’s self-esteem by sending a message that they are a valued and important part of the family unit. Also, displayed photographs of different stages of their lives make a very public statement that you are proud of them. For adults, displayed photographs announce that members of our family are important to one another. They remind us of happy times with loved ones by capturing those moments forever.
My goal is to help people decorate their homes with highly personal artwork. Artwork that captures specific moments in time featuring the most important thing in their lives: their families. No matter what stage of life you are in, there is no wrong time to be photographed. Toddlers, Tweens, Seniors, Family, Engagement, and Pets (because they are part of the family as well) – I invite you to call me and set up a portrait consultation. I would love to “Capture Today” so that you may keep it forever.
