Theatrical Headshots are different than most headshots you see in commercial settings. There are no cheesy smiles, no exotic backgrounds, no artistic lighting. They are meant to get you a part in a play, film, or TV show. When a casting director looks at your headshot, they must be able to see the character you are casting for in you. The headshot must show layers of your personality and emotional depth and they must also show your professionalism. That is quite a bit for one photograph to convey.
